    Detroit Medical Center

    Oakwood Imaging Center

Oakwood offers PET/CT as well as a 3T MRI scanner and a 64-slice VCT scanner. Their new MRI equipment, the Signa EXCITE HD 3T, boasts a groundbreaking magnet design and highest clinical field strength, providing more coverage and optimizing diagnostic capabilities. The Lightspeed 64-slice VCT scanner is the world’s first volume CT (VCT) system. Oakwood also offers an “Open MRI” for patients that may be claustrophobic. In addition, Oakwood recently installed a new 160 slice CT scanner. Patients will receive about 50% less radiation by having a scan with the 160 slice scanner. It is capable of scanning a beating heart in five seconds and an entire body in ten seconds. Oakwood is highly committed to their relationship with IHP and serving its Canadian patients. Each patient will leave with their diagnostic disk and receive the interpretations within 24hours. Same day appointments are available.
